ABOUT THE YPD
The Young Peoples Division (YPD) under the leadership of the Women's Missionary Society (WMS) provides meaningful youth training programs and opportunities for leadership experience in all areas of church life. By providing training in Evangelism , Christian Social Relations, and Education programs the YPD is designed to connect youth more fully to the mission of church and increase knowledge of the African Methodist Episcopal Church history and the scriptures.
YPD PLEDGE: I pledge my willing and untiring service to all efforts of the Young People's and Children's Division to aid the needy and suffering people, regardless of race, color or creed. I further pledge to take the Bible as my guide, to aid my church, and to attend meetings regularly. In all these tasks I seek the Savior's guidance.
The YPD colors are Forest Green and White.
Forest Green – symbolic of growth and Christian vitality
White – represents purity, light, and faith.
Anyone between the ages of 2 – 26 can be a part of the YPD. There are 4 Divisions of the YPD:
Sunbeams – Ages 2 – 6
Allen Stars – Ages 7 – 12
Young Peoples Auxiliary – Ages 13 – 17
Young Adult Division – Ages 18 – 26

About New England Conference
New England Conference Branch(NECB) YPD is one of the 7 Conferences that comprise the 1st Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
All AME Churches located in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island make up the New England Conference. We are broken down into 4 Areas: Boston, Providence,Stamford, and Springfield.
The NECB has adopted "GET UP, STAND UP..." as our motto in which we take a stand on various issues affecting our generation today including Bullying, Teen Dating Violence, Obesity, and Hunger. As a conference we take a stand against these issues through awareness, prayer, and action.
